Noah’s Ark Playgroup
Hello and welcome to our information page!
We meet every Thursday between 9.15am and 11.15am at Amesbury Baptist Centre (term time only).
9.30am: arrive and play in the main hall. As you arrive we have tea, coffee and hot chocolate as well as cold drinks available for parents and carers. We have lots of toys and things for your little ones to play with. The playgroup is split into two free-flow play areas:
Main hall: big play area with lots of different toys. We have baby areas, reading corners, a home corner, a shop role play, dressing up and plenty of cars and bikes. Each week changes slightly with additional toys such as the ball pit, tunnels and tents, Happy Land set up, jigsaws and even chalk boards so no week is the same.
Community Room: In this room we have an activity that changes weekly. It is sometimes a craft activity, and other times Role Play such as an indoor car wash or even messy play, such as an indoor mud kitchen or bug hunting in playdough!
10.00am: snack time in the community room. We make all our snack platters fresh in the morning. A typical platter would consist of cheese cubes, brioche, fresh fruit and bread sticks.
10.50am: tidy up time as we put all the toys in the cupboard and we get the parachute and bubbles out.
11.00am: parachute and bubbles time! Join us for some songs and noisy fun before we sing our goodbye song and leave.
We ask for a donation of £1.50 per adult and 2 children. Any additional children we ask for 20p per child. This cost covers our overheads and any money left over is directly invested back into the playgoup in the form of purchasing new toys and craft materials.
Prams and buggies:
We have a large entrance hallway where you can leave prams and buggies. We ask that they are not brought into the rest of the building for health and safety reasons. If your little one needs a sleep, we can certainly make space for you to bring a pushchair in if needed – just come and ask.
….and finally… if you don’t know anyone or it is your first time please come and find Katie or Tamal who will be wearing blue polo shirts. We want to make sure everyone feels welcome and that we create a toddler group renowned for being friendly!
